Chroma Forged Technology is used in the new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date watch. The new CFT forged carbon material combines lightness with outstanding resistance to impact, heat and humidity. It was independently developed by the brand's R&D team over a five-year period and has applied for patent protection for its manufacturing process.
Unlike previous generations of carbon materials, Audemars Piguet Chroma Forged Technology (CFT) can directly color carbon fiber instead of resin, and can arrange carbon fiber in the manufactured parts as needed, thus opening up new creative possibilities. Moreover, because its resin content is lower than that of traditional forged carbon, it is not easily scratched.
The middle structure of the ultra-light case is made of CFT forged carbon material, which contains blue luminous fibers to add to the aesthetic creativity of the watch, and is matched with a satin-brushed and polished black ceramic bezel.
